Odins cross pendant, 40 x 41 mm, 925 old silver finish, with black depths
Odin is the chief god in the Nordic-Germanic mythology and religion, as presented in the eddischen seals. From the salt-frosted stones the cow licked the giant Audhumbla Bure; this had a son Bor, who married the giant's daughter Bestla and fathered her Odin, Vili and Ve. The latter two are lost from the Asengeschichte, are rarely mentioned and have done little; Odin but manages powerful, creatively, through all times, until doomsday - the gods fate Ragnarök. The first act of the three united brothers was that they went against the Joten Ymir, killed him and out of his body formed the world. The world was flooded by Ymir blood and it saved only one pair, the giant Bergelmir and his wife. After the earth was formed, it was divided into two parts, the only fire Müsbühlheim, the other only of ice, Jotunheim, between the ravine, Ymir grave populated, Odin them by he created a a human couple, Ask and Embla, , But the race of giants planted likewise gone, and so was placed from the beginning of the dispute between the good and evil, in which even Odin himself goes down, as it's only a finite God.
